The ace series of cameras offer fantastic value. The acA2440-20gc is built on the Sony Pregius IMX264 2/3″ sensor. It offers 5 MP (2448 x 2048) resolution with astounding image quality: high quantum efficiency, wide dynamic range, and extremely low noise.
When this camera is configured to use the sensor’s full resolution, it can deliver 20 frames/second (“fps”). However, when configured to use less resolution, the frame rate will increase. As examples, 2048 x 2048 delivers 25.4 fps, 2448 x 1080 delivers 40.4 fps, and 2448 x 480 delivers 90.8 fps. (Note maximum frame rate also depends on the output format, exposure time, and network hardware.)
