That means the camera should be able to detect more faint signals or need less gain with less noise when detecting faint signals.

The Sony XC-ST30 is a compact, one-piece camera with a 1/3-inch IT type CCD sensor with Hyper HAD technology. The camera features high sensitivity, with Restart/Reset function and frame-on-demand operation and flexible shuttering to 1/10,000 sec.
